The Texas Ethics Commission's recent crackdown on a North Texas political consultant is a good example of why we strongly support this state agency. It's also why we again urge Attorney General Ken Paxton to do the same. The commission last month fined Matt Armstrong of GrassRoutes Public Relations in Flower Mound a staggering $37,500 in connection with his involvement in three political action committees: McKinney Citizens United, We Love Farmers Branch and Citizens for a Better Farmers Branch.
